Hi, welcome to my blog! Say hi to my new reader :)

Let me introduce you to my 出气桶(direct translation = ‘tong lepas geram’) This is the place where I say things that can’t be said elsewhere hehe. Also get a sneak peek of my mental world, discover how I feel about things and my opinions to them. There may be times when I will startle you with the fiery side of me, but dun worry, normally it wouldn’t take me too long to cool off haha.

Besides, my blog is also meant to update my friends about things that happen at work, places I have been to, photos I’d love to share, sometimes promoting about stuff I think is generally good, etc.

But, I realized one day that blogging does have its drawbacks and limitation. One of them is ‘having-know-it-all’ cases. I remember this conversation with a friend of mine a year back.

Me: Hey long time no see me, you nothing to ask me ar? (jokingly)
Fren: I got read your blog, you were the MC for your company function rite recently?
Me : Yeah.

End of conversation. So somehow if you reveal too much about what is happening to you then you might leave no space for others to ask you more. Of coz there are also times me and my frens when meeting up for dinner or yamcha, would bring out the topic and discuss it further. Well, sometimes it could be even more interesting than reading from the screen.

I dun usually tell everybody about my blog. I dun tell my colleagues, a big no-no. There are several reasons to it, one of them being the fear of ‘losing contact’ with frens. How ironic, blog is supposed to keep in touch with frens in point of fact. Anyway, like I said, sometimes what’s there to ask summore if you already knew, hehe. Oh ya another reason. If I wanna blog about how cute a guy is, how gentleman he is and stuff, why would I wanna let him read about what I have to say about him rite? Unless I want him to know la haha.

Nah…just kidding ;p

Anyway, blog is about general sharing so watch out for more interesting/boring/lame/immature/enlightening/informative entries coming your way *wink*

I have been doing Training and Development (T&D) for about 1 year. Then due to some logical reason which I’m not gonna share, HE took me out from T&D and place me into HR4HR where I’ll be overseeing the skills and competencies of all the HR ppl here, then developing them into exemplary performers, leveraging human talents within the department, thus transforming HR into a competency-based work department.

Canggih huh…but WHYYY? Sob…sob…Why didn’t I get the chance to implement the blueprint now after you guys ciao?? I sent the proposal for the job to the current management and they are still reviewing it and to decide whether or not to continue with this plan. I’m still left guessing right now.

Can I say : “I dun care, by hook or by crook, I want to continue with HR4HR!”????

Btw, you think they put me on hold and eat blind salary (makan gaji buta) for the time being? Your head la haha. Since I already kena ‘extracted’ from T&D, they’re not gonna put me back in, neither do I feel like returning (unless they park HR4HR into T&D, then YES), since they can’t confirm on keeping HR4HR yet, since my colleague left, I am to take over her job.

Introducing my new HR function, Employee Relations section! In short, they call it “ER”

I’ll be taking care of employee abscondment (for your info, staff resignation without notice is call abscondment), exit interview, company turnover, annual employee survey (no more a project now to me, becomes a job task), domestic inquiry, disciplinary reports…and in the future, if got chance maybe a lil bit of disciplinary cases handling, counseling, industrial relation issue, etc.

Looking at it at the bright side, knowing another HR function is beneficial, why not, it enhances my portfolio. After all, increasing my value and marketability are my ultimate objectives anyway. But at the same time, I’m logging into Jobstreet, read Star Classified once again after all this while, I’m sure you get what I mean. So let me know if there’s any HR opportunity out there ok, even if its in KL.

The only 2 things that are keeping me in my company are :

1.My new job ie the ER function-I want to explore this field a lil longer, so I’ll get the insight of it, and knowing the selok-belok better.
2.Training courses-My company sends me for various training programs. In my 1.5 years of service here, I have attended 7 in-house programs. And I din have to pay a cent for any of these courses; the fees were borne by the company though. The certificates might be very useful for future jobs man.

Among the courses I have attended are :

1. Work Performance Excellence With Positive Mindset
2. HR Management For Executive
3. 6S Training
4. Effective Motivation And Leadership
5. Thinking Creatively And Communicate Effectively
6. Effective Presentation Skill (tomorrow)
7. Strategies For Evaluating HR Management (nx weekg)

I believe there are more training courses coming my way and that’s a good thing to know actually but will keep an eye on the employment market for sure. Anybody who wanna give me advises, pls feel free to drop me a comment ok. Or if your company has vacant HR positions (anywhere) plsss let me know!! TQ :)

It has been 3 weeks now that me and my dept are without an endorsed manager. My ex-manager had resigned in which the notification did not really come as a surprise to us. You ask why? Hmm…let put it this way. If someday you happen to report under a boss who is so ‘wow’, then if HE (if you are a constant reader of this blog, you will know automatically who I’m referring to man, hehe) resigns, I never bluff you, you’d want to follow your boss too. Trust me, I know what it’s like.

About a week ago in my company, in fact in my department, guess whose last day was it? My main adversary’s. But I have to say, she has been a good one though. By right, by logical sense, I should be feeling happy, I mean why not? No more significantly intense rivalry for the time being for extra management assignments and projects. But I wasn’t really. I know why, coz I treat her as my fren, when I first joined until the day when I had second thought of whether I should only treat her as a colleague. In my heart, I so wanted to ask her why she did the things she did that caused misunderstanding between me and my ex-project team members. I really wanted to know her intention, but for the sake of the friendship and the good times we have had, I decided to juz wipe it off and not asked her personally. But hey, if you are reading this and in case you’d like to clear anything at all, pls do drop me a comment ok. Else it’s fine, juz let me know you will still be a reader of my blog for my updates, will ya?

Actually, quite a few staff from HR and Quality resigned. We all speculate that it was becoz of the demoralization we faced since the resignation of the 3 big heads, namely the COO geng. If I were to leave, it will most likely be due to this:

Key Msg No. 1: Different management allowing for comparison of motivation level. The slight drop in the 2nd half old management was mainly caused by the routine and clerical daily tasks in which I feel brings little or no value.

Key Msg No. 2 : Under the new COO mgmt, things were making a come back. A major one. Challenging yet tough projects were being assigned, then kena taro betul-betul in meeting/presentation coz his expectations were damn high, but ultimately I get to learn more compared to other young executives who didn’t have a chance to. Plus a few valuable personal coaching session. Now tell me, whose motivation level won’t rise significantly?

Key Msg No. 3 : Again, tell me, going back to old mgmt now, whose motivation level won’t fall drastically??

Hmm..now I think ppl are getting a clearer picture of how I’m feeling about this whole transition thingy..huh.

I watched Spiderman 3 during the weekend and I have to say I like the show. Damn Spidey is so cute, oh I mean Tobey Mcguire. Wahahah :)

Before the show started, Audrey said it has been a while since I last blogged. So I told her that I have nothing to blog about except work coz my life right now is all about work. Not that I choose to live a life like this, but it is indeed 80% of my mind is about my company, my job, politics, future career path…u know things like that…

If you want to know the situation in my company, or anything about my work, or if you’re interested to know about politics happening in my work area, I can easily tell you about it man..i dun even have to spend much time to think of how to answer your questions. Hahaha..

Sometimes I know by blogging about the same damn thing again and again, bored the hell out of ppl, but I can’t help it! I need to spit it out somewhere (which is here) since I obviously can’t do so at the workplace. Keep it in and it’ll eat me up gradually inside. I dun wish it eats me up, nooo~ (if you just know me, I intro you to the other side of me, I can be a good crapper, mind you, juz that I have forgotten how to crap for quite some time adi since work is all very serious stuff, and HR lagi tu) In addition, probably I have no kaki to crap with la haha. Or probably I am all grown up now. *Ahem..cough cough*.

Well, I feel I’m bit detached from the outside world now. Dun really know what exactly is happening in the world today hehe..first never read the newspaper haha, second never watch news, third, got time then choose to sleep. Choup..no excuses! Ish ish…

But hey of coz I do know that my Man Utd’s tour to Msia has been cancelled due to the Asian Cup issue. (see at least im not THAT outdated HAHA) And yeah MU is the champ this season, woohoo! Good to see Arsenal equalized Chelsea last weekend man, syiok betul. Hopefully MU would be double champ this year and defeat Chelsea in FA Cup final next Sat. I’ll be in KL at that time, anybody who’s gonna watch the match anywhere near Sunway, let me know, I’ll join ya then.

Ah huh…anybody watched Project Superstar last week? Juz last Oct I was blogging about the audition I saw when I went to Penang, now the new star was born in last week’s finale. No different, still a guy defeating a gal. His name is Henley. I supported none of the top 2 coz my fave is Wee and he got voted out and became 1st runner up for guy’s category :) Btw, if you want some updates from me, and if you’re gonna ask if I still like Daniel Lee, then the answer is a yes. Well, THAT one thing has not changed despite all the mental changes I am experiencing. Wahahaha ;p

I dunno what else to update about. I mean for non-work stuff. Next post will be about work that I’d like to share..coz its quite a major ‘transition’ in my working life. You might have gotten the idea, but if you dun, stay tuned to read about it, next.

This is so pathetic. There is this something I really wanna do, but I can’t do it like how I would do it normally, due to certain reasons, I just can’t. Thus, I can only do it here simply becoz the person won’t be reading this. Duhhhhh..
